An online or audio appointment allows your physiotherapy assessment to be done over video link , phone call or secure app. Many people prefer this method if they are unable to travel or are short on time to attend an in person appointment. Diagnosis and personalised home exercise plans can still be successfully achieved via this method.
During the consultation , Susan will take a detailed history of your problem and ask to to perform certain movements and tests over the camera or phone. This will enable a diagnosis to be made. Susan can then create a personalised recovery plan. This can be shown (and emailed) to you if you have made your appointment via video link or emailed to you if you have had a phone assessment. You can then opt to arrange and in person or further Telehealth follow up if needed.
Research has shown that remote physiotherapy achieves outcomes similar to in person appointments for many conditions.
Benefits can include convenience - accessing care for home or when travelling.
If you prefer to be seen in person , this would not be a problem . You can change form your online or audio appointment at any time and opt to be seen face to face. This can be arranged via the online booking system or via phone / email.
