Welcome to The Dales Physiotherapy Clinic. The clinic is owned and run by Susan Addison, a Chartered HCPC and CSP registered physiotherapist with over 27 years experience treating all musculoskeletal disorders and working as an Advanced physiotherapy practitioner.

Getting started on your recovery journey couldn't be easier. You can book an initial assessment via phone or using the online booking system.

Review your health & discuss concerns

During your first appointment, we will discuss your concerns, review your health history, and carry out an assessment to understand your condition. Treatment or a personalised plan may also begin if time allows.

On going support

Initial appointments last one hour and can take place in clinic, by video call, or over the phone if you're unable to attend in person.

Our Services

Susan may use a range of treatments tailored to your needs, including hands on treatment, acupuncture, personalised exercise plans, taping, vestibular rehabilitation, advice, referral and interpretation of image reports, pilates, tai chi, and professionally led rehabilitation classes to support your recovery.

About Me

Susan Addison

BSc PGcert MCSP.

I have worked as a Physiotherapist for 27 years. During this time it has been my pleasure to work with many people from a variety of backgrounds, involved in elite sporting rehabilitation, the private sector, Defence Rehabilitation and the NHS.

I have extensive knowledge in all musculoskeletal problems and treatments including working as and Advanced physiotherapy practitioner referring for MRI, X-Ray and ultrasound scans and performing corticosteroid injections. Over the last 20 years I have taken a personal interest and great satisfaction in being able to help those with headache, migraine and face pain as well as dizziness.

Do I need a doctors referral to be seen by the physio?

No, You can self refer to see Susan. Susan also accepts referrals from other health professionals & registered insurance companies.

Susan will try to offer an appointment as soon as possible within her working hours that is suitable for you

All chartered physiotherapists have undergone the required training and exams to enable them to practice.They will have the letters MCSP after their name to show they are registered with the chartered society of physiotherapy.Practising physiotherapists also have to be a member of the Health and care professions council (HCPC), membership of an individual can be checked on their website.

You can contact Susan directly via phone or book online at the earliest available appointment.

Loose or flexible clothing thats not too restrictive. Try to wear clothing to allow accessibility for the area being treated , such as shorts for a lower limb assessment. Try to limit excessive jewellery as this may need to be removed for the assessment.

Initial assessments usually last one hour , unless you advise you have multiple body areas that need assessment then further time can be added to your session. Follow up appointments usually last 30 minutes.

From Bedale: on the A684 towards Crakehall go over the river bridge. Take first road on right up small hill and past village hall on left. Continue 2k and Hunters hill Farm is on your left (Signposted Yore Store). Take second entrance on left. Head up farm track keeping house on left. Past green barn , you will see car park on left and Dales physio sign. Park up head towards the building on the left and enter the courtyard to the right. Dales physio entrance is first door in the left. Take a seat in small waiting area and the physiotherapist will call you in when ready.
