Home physiotherapy takes place in the comfort of your own home. This can be arranged if you are usually not mobile enough to get to appointments.
Your first visit usually lasts an hour. Susan will take a detailed history of your problem and assess your problem through a series of tests and movements if suitable.
Treatment can also be applied which may involve hands on treatment, such as joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques, massage, acupuncture, as well as many more hands on techniques. A rehabilitation and exercise plan will be developed and tailored to our needs.
A visit to your home can also sometimes highlight if any adaptations or improvements in your home environment are needed to help mobility and safety.
If you would like to discuss if a home visit is suitable for yourself of a friend/ family member, please call Susan on 07730535304 or email
Times can be tailored around clinic times and will usually be at the start or end of a clinic day.
At the end of your initial appointment, Susan will be able to advise you if any follow up sessions are needed, or maybe a further home visit or an in clinic appointment.
If you choose to arrange private imaging, appointment availability can vary depending on your location. It ranges from the same day to a few weeks. If you’re willing to travel outside your local area, additional appointment options earlier may be accessible.
Susan is trained as an Advanced Physiotherapy practitioner. This enables her to request and interpret musculoskeletal imaging reports including X-rays, MRI and ultrasound scans.
Imaging, although not appropriate in some situations can help identify underlying pathology, thus aiding a more comprehensive treatment pathway or indeed onward referral if needed. Susan can help guide you on the most appropriate imaging modality for your problem.
